Do you think Microsoft will one day allow syncing of Band data to Fitbit and vice versa Fitbit to MS Health?
I ask because it would be great if I could use the Band and my fitbit services. I have quite a few friends who use fitbit and we enjoy using the challenges feature of Fitbit to keep each other motivated

It wouldn't surprise me. They seem to be cooperating with one another and I believe Fitbit has Cortana integration.

Yep, I have a fitbit flex that I've been using for almost 2 years. I have a lot of data in Fitbit that I hate to throw away and would love to get it into MS Health or connect the two together. At the moment I'm still wearing my Flex in addition to the Band because I can't give it up the service yet even though I love the Band!

There is a good chance we will see Fitbit devices integrate with Microsoft Health. Fitbit's business model is to use their service to sell hardware, so they don't care if you use other services as long as you buy their hardware for it. You can already synchronize Fitbit device data (step counters, weight measurements, exercise activity, etc) to Microsoft HealthVault.

But for that reason, unless Microsoft pushes for a licensing deal with Fitbit, I think it's very unlikely that you will see data from your Microsoft Band device appear on Fitbit's service. Which is unfortunate, because Fitbit has some great services. I would even be willing to pay for them.

I logged into my MS health vault today and forgot is already linked to it. You should already be able to transfer fitbit history over to health vault
