Why do you have different accounts for different devices/OS's?

Yeah I shoundnt have but actually at the time of updating to 8.1 system didnt accept my live id which I use on WP and forced me to create another microsoft account...since then I have been trying to merge both and use only one but process that was explained on Windows community is so confusing and felt like too much work so I gave up...

That sucks... I did move from using one account to another... I remember having to contact Microsoft support team but I don't remember all the details.

but when i click on link it asks for redeem code..
but what is redeem code?
can any1 tell me?

That's weird. It should automatically give you the redeem code.
