OneDrive & raw files

I know that in the recent past, the Lumina 1020 couldn't auto upload raw files to SkyDrive. I was just wondering if anything has changed now that it's OneDrive. Is it now possible to auto upload our raw files to OneDrive?

I am hoping that we could essentially take pictures (away from our computers and cables) and just delete the photos to make room on the phones (knowing that they are safely backed up on OneDrive).

As above. My understanding is it is an actual limit on file size set within the OS for mobile data/wifi uploads. There is nothing you can do (or as a developer) to increase this limit.

At least that is my understanding.

thats pretty pointless having a 1020 when you cannot upload the hi res photos so you can only upload 5 mp one?
why cannot you upload them they are only around 12mb?
Another windows limitation?
what about through dropbox(cloudsix) can you upload them with this.?
I moved over from a sony z1 , i love the win8 operating system but there is a lot of things they need to improve. I still cannot work out how to do a playlist on the phone?
also the battery on the 1020 is really bad.
and does anyone know if there is a love film app i cannot find one.
thanks

5MP photos were deemed (by Nokia) to be a high enough resolution to share on social networks. The 34/38MP JPGs are massive in resolution, and very few social networks actually support anything that large. Any that do will just down sample when being viewed on most monitors, rendering the high res version useless on social media.

If you are shooting in RAW the files are routinely over 42MB! Upload 10 and you have nearly used 500MB of data.

Yes this is limited in the Windows Phone OS.

Nope, no other service or app has access to the high res images, they are only available through a USB cable.

Playlists are dependant on what you are using to listen to music. What app are you using to listen to music?

I get 2 days out of my 1020. Check what you have running in Background Tasks. Things like Facebook toast notifications, Skype, Push Email Alerts, etc drain battery. Also, how often are you using or playing with the camera? OIS will destroy your battery.

There is no LoveFilm app in WP8. WP7.8 had one but it has not been updated.

thanks
You are welcome.

welcome to a MSFT mobile OS. remember when windows let you do anything. well WP is like the anti-windows. This is what I did:
take REAL windows and make a bat file that will look in the phone's OS and copy any DNG file over to the skydrive folder. I run it whenever I need to "upload to skydrive".

MSFT loves to give 100GB of free skydrive but dare not demand you can put your DNGs in there.

Thanks for your answers.
i am using music player pro to listen to music, i have 8 albums on my phone i am wanting to take the best songs off each album and make a playlist,
thanks

Extreme Music claims it can create playlists on the phone. It's free. I tried it a while ago and couldn't get it to work properly, but I've just had a look again and think I need to disable the phones screen timeout setting for it to work.

Just bought extreme music , it works great you can do playlists thanks for the help and advice
