Order Has Been Shipped!

Posting from my new Surface Pro 4 with my light blue type cover. Everything arrived and I've been setting things up for the last few hours. Paired my Bluetooth headphones and I'm sitting here listening to music and installing apps and learning how to use my pen. Really glad I have the day off work today to play

MS Store has been a nightmare for me. Updated my payment information twice and they still can't process it. I cancelled my order.

I wonder if the version I ordered has anything to do with processing/shipping - i5/256/16. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's lame that I pre-ordered it and can't get it shipped on the day they said it would.

I haven't had to deal with this because we have the Microsoft Store in Canada, but often the products we order in Canada still come from the U.S. As is the case with my recent Surface purchase. Researching Microsoft's shipping policies seems to be somewhat tricky. What about ordering from Amazon.com? They seem to deliver world-wide.

Thank you for the info. I could actually order from amazon, shipping on there isn't cheap, but that is not the issue. The customs is. If i import a new item from US, i would pay like extra $300 to the customs here -> sick! Maybe if it is the same here like you said, i might get it from UK heh :) Let's hope so :D

In my country, when conputer items come through the freight forwarder, we pay 0 on vat and custom duties. Will just have to pay for the weight

Where do you live and can you tell me more about this freight forwarder thing? I've never used this and am not completely sure it's safe heh :) How does it even work?

Well, I got my Surface book today in Louisville Ky

The biggest thing I do not like is the stinking SD card sticks WAY out. Also, you cannot customize the pen top button, which I do not like.

Other than that, the screen is fantastic, and in clipboard mode, the dispay is very light, just like the surface pro 3,

The keyboard is fantastic and it for sure feels like a real computer

Glad I came across this. I pre ordered the i5 256/16 on Friday and it has been in the process stage for 24 hours. I've called them at least 4 times today to try and get a straight answer as to why. MS support on the sales side is just awful. I preordered the same model last Monday only to have my order cancelled on Friday, and NO ONE at MS could tell me why, other than it was "weird" that that would happen. I'm so over them right now, I'm concerned my order will be cancelled again! You can actually order this model right now and have it shipped in 1-2 business days. Get it together MS!!!

I live in the Caribbean.

What it basically does is gives you a US address that you can ship too. Then they bring it to your country and you go collect.

In my country, and some others in the caribbean, we use "Aeropost" . It's a free service and we only pay to clear the items.

AEROPOST - Aeropost

Noting my order was "In process" all day yesterday, while people were walking into brick and mortar stores and picking them up, I was getting more and more steamed. Customer support told me they were having trouble verifying my payment information...the same information used to ship the type cover which already arrived. After several attempts to rectify the situation, I gave up and cancelled the order. I live in Manhattan and a Best Buy wasn't too far out of the way. I called to make sure they had stock and offered to pay in advance over the phone. The nice young lady said "no need, we have plenty in stock". Of course when I got there, what do you think happened? Blowing a gasket at Best Buy, the clerk told me the new flagship store was ten or twelve blocks up Fifth Avenue. Fine...I hot foot it up Fifth because, of course, it's one way going downtown and I can't grab a taxi. I get to the store and it's total mayhem in there being rush hour on product release day. Luckily, I got a salesperson who was able to find the (almost) model I wanted and started to ring me up. I only had an ATM card with me, but no prob "we'll just run it as credit".....declined. Two or three more blocks to a bank branch to extract my money and back to the store. Only took the salesperson 20 minutes to figure out how to count change from the cash purchase. Finally home with my device last night and a couple hours setting everything up. Fast forward to work this morning on Wall Street and I take my new Surface Tab out and.....it's refusing to accept my password...repeatedly. On the phone with tech support for over an hour and he's now telling me I need to do a system recovery. Uh, no....Back uptown to the Flagship Store....where everything worked fine. How's your morning going?

Man if i were u, i'd lose my mind over this. I'd be so mad, it would be best if nobody even talked to me cuz i might hurt them. I do not cope well with situations like this, especially when being hyped that much!
So my morning was way better than yours i guess ;)

Mine finally went from 'in process' to hitting my credit card yesterday, to a shipping confirmation today...although it hasn't shipped yet.

Now, I'm getting nervous hearing about all the issues with the SP4's.

Am I just in a hurry to be frustrated more?

After effect included a headache, strained groin and a left sided subconjunctival hemorrhage which should resolve in a few days. So far, the Surface is functioning as advertised.

Hahaha well i'm glad it is atleast working for you now. Consider yourself lucky i guess, since so many users are having some firmware related problems.

Had issues that forced me to go back to the Microsoft store, but they seem to be resolved now. I guess I'm fortunate to be relatively close to the Flagship.
