Outbox ?search directory? does not find contacts when queried!

Have asked this in 950XL forum. Makes phone impossible to work with.
I am on .36 with all app updates and my wife's has same problem on .29.

Any thoughts here??

after 4 years with 920, 1520.3 and now this..really thinking of jumping to the dark side.
I cant do my work!
