people in the forum say there is a messaging folder in outlook, i cannot find it

Windows Central Question

can not get text messages to show on outlook.

my outlook does not have quick views or photo folders. I want to verify that text messages have been backed up before i reset my lumia 929.

You can't find the text messages anywhere. They can only be seen in the messages app if they're synced.

User... Please do not create multiple threads on your issue. It actually works against you as any advice gets scattered around and a coherent conversation cannot develop as easily...


Open Messaging > ellipses (...) > settings > make sure that sync messages between devices is ON

Go to Settings > Update & security > Backup > More options > Back up now

No you can't see them. I never have.

Reset your phone. Sign in with the same Microsoft Account and you will have your messages. It has never failed me.

Got a link? I'm not sure what you are referring to here...

I think he's referring to see some contact's texts when you log into Outlook.com and look at the history or something. Don't think it was ever an official feature or one that really worked well.
