I've been using an awful blackberry Z10 that I got with my AT&T next upgrade, and I've felt like smashing it for the past few days. I ordered a Lumia 820 on ebay for 109 in mint condition, what are everyones thoughts on the phone? I've always loved windows phone since I had the samsung focus back when Windows phone 7 released. And I was wondering how the camera is, how good the videos are, and if it's a sturdy device like the Lumia 920 was. Also hows the battery life?

Hmm i can say it is not a great battery phone. Nd also camera shots are horrible in low light nd indoors.other than the above it is a gud phone.battery life i meant low if it is used for browsing or anything related with internet.if u use very lightly.then u can drag it for 2 days atmost.light usage means using the phone for perhaps 1 hr or so.also u have to close all the background apps nfc wifi bluetooth all.one solution is have an extra battery.the phone charges very fast in 2 hrs from 10 to 100%.hmm this is my experience with lumia 820 start to live with all this.but wp8 is gr8 os.

Battery life is worse than the 620. That puts it right next to the 610 and 510 in battery life.

The camera is better than the 900. Not good, but not bad either.

The phone's selling point is its gorgeous AMOLED screen. In my book, this makes Glance worth its battery life tradeoffs.

Battery is the weakest element of this phone. It can run out in less than 8 hours. Other than that it is a decent device. I have had mine since may 2013 and I am a big fan of it. The camera is good. Of course it's not as good as 920's but still it allows you to produce good shots, epsecially in daylight. Videos, here I can't say much as I simply do not use this feature very often, but from the several videos I took I'm leaning to say that it is more than satisfying. It is sturdy. Guys at Nokia know how to make their devices durable. I have dropped mine more than I should and no cracks whatsoever, just minor scratches. Hope it helps

Yup! Have to agree with everyone. I had the phone for about 2 years before upgrading to the 1020. I really liked it and the camera was pretty good in daylight. The battery life is really bad though. I had to buy an extra battery from Amazon and carry that around just in case the phone ran out of battery.

Hmm what op says is true but it depends on you connected to internet otherwise it will last u a day. On screen time is perhaps 2hr or so without data connection or even wifi worst battery life even compared to HTC one x

I guess I hit the jackpot with the battery. Mine is pretty decent. Not as good as my Focus was

Thanks for the replies guys! :3 If I wasn't on such a low budget I would have gone for another lumia 920, I used to have one a while back. I loved it. Sadly the 820 was the only phone I could find for a decent price. Either way it's still better than this blackberry Z10.

Been using my 820 for about 10 months. I always get about 2 days of battery life out of mine and I have gotten as much as three. I use my phone when I need too and do not pamper it. I found Amber and then Black helped not only the camera; but also battery life. It has the same insides as the 9XX series; plus it has a SD card slot and a removeable battery. When 8.1 comes out and you can load apps to the SD card its going to be one of the better buys out there as none of the 9XX have a SD slot. I installed a 64GB Sd card in mine and use it for pictures; videos, movies, and maps, leaving the internal memory for only apps. I am running about 40 apps and still have over 4.5GB of memory free. And like the guy said, the screen is beautiful for a 4.3 incher. Plan on keeping mine for quite awhile as nothing they have out now comes close to what you get with a 820 for the money spent. The only phone that might be a better buy is the 520 and I have one of those as my backup.

Hey guys can u tell me how to upload from my Lumia 820 ,photos I have taken to post it through this forum.i do not get the option in the camera roll to share it with wpcentral nd also I have purchased the full version.plz help guys.😆😋

Just thought I'd say I accidentally threw (not dropped) my 820 on the concrete today. I was closing my car door and it flew out of my hand. No screen damage, just some roughing around the phone's edges.

I had a cheap, thin and hard plastic case with no screen protector. Not bad aye? I remember people complaining about the L820 lacking gorilla glass.
