Phone hung up

My Lumia 640 XL was doing fine and a few minutes ago I went to start it up and discovered it won't start.

It was on the charger and indicates it has a full charge.

The glance screen is showing some icons at the top and the time and shows a battery icon by the time indicated it was charging --- oh I just unplugged it and then it went to a black screen with icons at the top and the back arrow and Windows flag and magnifying glass but it won't do anything.

Pushing the power button does nothing.

It won't shut off .. it won't go the the Start screen ... nothing.

What should I do?

why no remove battery or do a soft reset?
hold the Volume down and Power buttons down for around 10-15 seconds until the Lumia restarts, then release the phone buttons and it will restart.
maybe you need to reset it.

Volume down and power button did the trick it looks like.
