As an update, I've published my findings on RAW capture with the 1020. In summary, I think this is what Nokia was expecting in terms of image quality when it produced this camera and planned the firmware update to include RAW capture. It's vastly superior to in-camera JPEG and makes the camera very useable. What this does illustrate is just how bad the JPEG rendering is in this camera.
