(Not sure if this thread belongs in Windows 10 Mobile or General WP Discussion, feel free to move it mods)

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like I have noticed a change in picture quality on 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile for certain phones (I'll really say some midrange and down, i.e. 520/521, basically non-native W10M). I still have my 640 but I'm so disappointed with how the camera is so I just use apps only and never take any pictures. It could be something that I'm doing wrong, but it's just something that I noticed. With that observation, it has me wondering if we have to choose between a nice picture or updated apps because some of us don't have flagships. Thoughts?

It's the same on all Microsoft phones now so your not alone. One of the many reasons I chose the Lumia 1520 was for the camera, the best out there bar none, especially in low light conditions until Microsoft got their grubby mitts on them and really have messed it up when they should have realised that this was a top selling point for Nokia handsets, carl Zeiss lens's and nokia know how, bearing in mind that this is all they did, make phones, and most of the time they got it right.
I've noticed in the last few build of windows 10 that the camera ap is suffering poor light ability, graininess etc and has slowed down too, both in start up and focus. When this was called Lumia camera it worked like no other mobile camera out there! Let's hope that future updates will sort it though I very much doubt it!!
