My Flickr Photostream has some more pics from the 1020, but
here's some of my favorites from my first few months with this camera:

WOW! How the heck did you get that moon shot? Tips please? I've been trying and trying and all I ever manage to get is a huge white shiny blob :(

I would've thought it was through a telescope.

The only other alternatives are a very powerful trampoline which is a possibility with the OIS. Perhaps a rocket too? :)

Handheld 2 second exposure from friends balcony. The two vehicles NOT just represented by light streaks were painting new lines. After trying this on a lark, I REALLY want to find a good highway to do more long-exposure photos, using a tripod.

Hudson River, NY from Metro North train. Taken in motion through disgusting dirty window, everything auto.

Going to bed right now but i have to share it with You guys. Later I'll add some more from my early morning ride, but this particular photo is by far my best achievement with L1020. Perfect place and perfect timing. I'm calling it "Necklace worn by the sun":

hudsonvalley,

have you noticed the vertical stripes or lines on the left side of your images? Are they caused by the dirty window or by the camera?

Edit: it's the camera, I can see them in these photos too.

It was exceptionally calm this day... Silence almost filled the air around me :)
