Pictures / Video taken with your 1020

Loving the photos here! i look at some and find it so hard to believe some of these were taken with a camera phone!

I wanted to ask how you lot are going about shooting and editing?

Are you shooting 5mp + full jpeg or 5mp and raw image?

Once you have what photo are you editing the 5mp or the full res?

Lastly is it possible to edit the raw image on the phone then save a full res jpeg?

Cant wait to get my paws on mine in couple of days coming from tiny boring iPhone 5!!

I shoot in 5MP + 34MP DNG (RAW)
The RAW images cannot be edited on the phone, but I get them on my computer and use Adobe Lightroom for editing.

Hey!

I shoot in 5+34jpg mode. 99% of my shots is not edited in any way. I just take my time, pick the right place and moment and share the results. I'm not much into editing - that's my personal reason :)
If I have to edit any picture (I use the 5mp variant) I just play with basic settings as saturation/contrast/highlights or BW filters - that's it.
I hope you'll get much fun with Your 1020, it's a great camera in certain circumstances!

I use 5MP+34MP (DNG).
And i am not editing my photos, i usually upload 5MP and post them here, sometimes i use color pop or something else like b&w from Nokia Creative Studio and that's all.
EVERY pic i posted here is unedited. If you mean editing on PC with some program.

And yes it's possible to edit them on your PC and then convert them.

Thanks for the replies, i think i will use 5mp and DNG as i do enjoy editing in lightroom. But use the 5mp shots for social and snaps uploading to Facebook then if an image is worth it copy over to mac and edit in lightroom.

What im not understanding is the losseless zoom, how does that work and for what settings?

The way i think it works is because the image is so large and has very good over sampling all its doing is cropping down the image but because its so large you don't see a drop in resolution upto what the class as 3x zoom so doing to the max 3x is dropping the image down from a 34mp image too approx 11mp image? I also assume as you cant edit the 5mp pic like this as its already small and you cant edit the DNG as what you see on screen will actually be a jpeg preview.

Cheers
