I wonder when we'll have official press pics from Nokia using this camera. Seems like we have all this media for the 925 immediately but pretty much zilch for the 928.

I am a big windows phone fan, but to be honest the sharpness of some of those photos aren't really impressive, I am not trying to knock it here, just saying compared to some other high end phones the sharpness seems very muted.

You have to remember though, the ones that aren't as sharp as you like are low light photos or photos of something moving (fan). The normal pictures of still objects look incredible in sharpness and color!

I think Nokia would do well to turn down the post-processing a bit. You can see the blurring when you zoom in on photos from the 920 and 928. It's not terrible, but I don't think they need to be doing that much post-processing to the pictures. I would rather have a sharper, more raw photo that I can then apply filters as needed. There has been word that when the GDR2 update hits, Nokia phones will get some software improvements involving the camera.

I was talking about the flowers one, there is a very very soft sharpness to it, I am not saying this is a bad camera at all (trust me I cant wait to get my hands on this phone) just wish pictures were a tad sharper.

Dunno if this was posted already, but in their preview Slashgear has posted some high res test shots they took with the camera. Full screen on my monitor it looks quite good, although zooming to 100% reveals what reminds me of the Paint Daubs filter in photoshop. Ie; some heavy processing:

It's white. The lighting is reflecting off of it and giving a yellow shade to it.

Also, am I wrong in thinking that both the 928 and the 920 have 3 HAAC mics that HTC's new One phone also has, and HTC's version is capable of stereo recording... this is a software thing, right?

The recordings are really really good here. I wish I'd have been able to go to one of these concerts in person still, though.

There needs to be a way to upload pictures to websites other than facebook and twitter, using just the phone. And not some convoluted way of going through skydrive....

Oddly, while I was at the VZW store waiting to buy mine, I tried taking pics with the live demo in the store. The security device was mounted so that it was partially obscuring the camera.

Stopped on the way home from picking up the phone, must say I am pretty happy with the quality of the images from this camera..little noisy in the sky but pretty much expected from such a small sensor

Muessig says to use the 16:9 aspect ratio if one wants to use a picture as wallpaper in his photography guide.

I wanted to test the lowlight ability as the 822 was crap in this regard. I took this in a dark room with only one light on, no flash. This was on auto settings and the camera chose ISO800 F2
