Re: Pictures/Videos taken with your 928!

a few more I took today while out...everything still looks great. The camera tends to over saturate yellow, switching to daylight on white balance helps this unless you want more punch. Skies tend to be noisy but that is a small sensor thing not a defect in the camera. I notice on wide angle shots the right side tends to be a bit soft towards the corners, again a wide angle issue not necessarily a defect in the camera. Some of my most expensive cameras and lenses exhibit this to some degree as well. This camera is exactly what I was looking for..something to snapa shot when I might be out without my camera that will have decent image quality.

wow those photos are really great. You can tell Nokia really worked on sharpness. Compared to my 920(which no slouch either) the sharpness in your daytime photos are great.

Re: Videos Filmed with Lumia 928 (some pictures as well)

That might not be the case..

Right here in the specs:
Main video camera features
•Video streaming: YouTube browsing and video streaming, Progressive video download, Streaming from video services and internet
•Video recording features: Stereo Audio Recording, Video light, Video zoom, Optical image stabilization, Continuous autofocus

I'd like to know also ... does the 928 record in stereo or mono - it has 3 HAAD mics vs. 2 on the 920 I read?

Re: Videos Filmed with Lumia 928 (some pictures as well)

An image I took today while out and about. The sunlight was harsh which usually tends to wash out color and detail like the foreground grass, but I think it did ok here. The horses were reeeeally far away so I had to zoom a bit, I did not want to zoom fully because on these small sensors that just degrades the image completely, this one is still a bit soft around the edges and I applied some sharpening to it before uploading. All in all not unhappy with the image, again if I did not have my camera with me and saw something I wanted to capture this camera will definitely suffice.

Macro with this thing is spectacular. High aperture + good lens = beautiful bokeh effect. Even more amazing is the color reproduction. Wow.
All auto with default camera app.

Re: Pictures/Videos taken with your 928!

Here is a shot at the beach in Cape Cod. Just took the phone out and shot. No editing.

Nice shot!! One of the best I have seen.

There seems to be some variability in photos taken by the 928. I have been reading complaints from some about the camera, but then I see photos like this that are really as good as any other phone that I've seen.

I am not a professional photographer by a long shot. I just followed some basic rules. Good light and a steady hand. The camera did the rest. I know the 920's camera had a reputation for not being so good in well lit conditions. I am now starting to read posts that the 928 could be the same. I am not seeing it in the 928. Still have to test it more though.
