Two pictures from a visit yesterday to the USS Intrepid. Both were taken with Lumia Camera Classic on all default settings except no flash.

The Space Shuttle Enterprise inside the Space Shuttle Pavilion.

Testing my 1520's camera again today, this one was shoot in RAW and edited with Rawer (contrast and brightness mainly). I'm pleased with the result but I could use some advices/tips since I'm as amateur as it gets regarding photography!

Also, I long for the day that I will be able to upload photos through the windows phone app, it's a shame that I have to use my android for that!

I like the subject of the photo. As a fellow amateur I might have pushed the color and brightness corrections a bit more. Try using the "Rule of Thirds" guides to help with your framing...

(Nokia) Lumia Camera > Settings > Framing grids > rule of thirds. I think keeping the grid on the screen has helped my framing a bit.

Keep up the good work... And check out the weekly photo contest (on hiatus for the Thanksgiving Holiday, I guess). It's like a homework assignment each week plus you get to see what others are doing and read up on what they used pre and post shot.

I've always known that I had a good cam in my 1520, until I took this and noticed how well I got the glasses focused in on the picture. It's an awesome camera

Every Pic and situation is going to differ in some way. No one answer covers all.

App wise you might want to consider looking at ProShot. It has some good features and the true HDR with on camera merging is very cool.

Technique wise - practice, experiment, have fun.

Check out the Photo Contest threads. Many users post and they often clearly label steps and Apps they have used to get the result you see. It is a pretty good study guide. Photo Contests - Windows Central Forums
