Here are some photos taken before the rear facing camera and flash stopped working.

My 1520.3 is back on WP8.1 + Denim and is now retired to camera duty.

Shot this in Lumia Camera as a portrait oriented shot. Opened the 5MP jpg in Polarr > cropped out this 16:9 landscape bit from the center > clarity +20, sharpen +10, dehaze +6 and saturation +8.

bought a broken 1520 on ebay for $45, replaced the charging port and now have a fully functional phone.

It's was raining hard.. Managed to grab this and got my shoes soaked too.
[1/4000s, but the picture was too dark. Had to do some editing. Splashed on some selective HDR... ]

Thanks... The size of the spider is about 4-inches (include the legs), so it was less a macro shot but rather just a close-up. It took several tries but a flash/HDR combination worked best. .. adjust the slider to get the "correct" flash-fill, it bought out the glittering gold body markings quite nicely.

Thanks... The size of the spider is about 4-inches (include the legs), so it was less a macro shot but rather just a close-up. It took several tries but a flash/HDR combination worked best. .. adjust the slider to get the "correct" flash-fill, it bought out the glittering gold body markings quite nicely.

Just stock camera app. If the picture was taken on HDR, there is an option for "Choose the best lighting"

Yup.

HDR, then when you preview use "Choose best lighting" to adjust exposure.

HDR + Flash = Dynamic Flash and in "Choose best lighting" you can adjust the amount of flash.
