I have the same problem when trying to aim down and focus. I found out about it when I was taking pics at a local animal shelter for their site. Normally, I'd have my good DSLR, but it was a spur of the moment, since I was there situation. I had to squat the whole time because I could NOT get the camera to focus if I were standing above the animals and trying to take a shot from top-down. I sincerely hope that bug is fixed in a near-future update.

Sorry for the crazy long anecdote. Back to sharing our awesome pics.

Nokia N80(i firmware):

Galaxy S (CM 4.0.4):

Lumia 920:

My 920 may be faulty, because the quality is no where near what I'd expect. Especially left side of the camera. Everything looks acceptable form pretty much any device once you resample it down to 1024xXXX.

I have to ask, do you guys think that the camera on my Lumia 920 is performing as it should?

I made sure that the lens was clean before I took this. The thing is, my N80 takes sharper pictures and I find it rather hard to stomach.

I also noticed that the camera doesn't seem to be centred. Is that normal?

It's blurry on the left.
My camera works fine but i hate to say that galaxy S4 is way more easy 2 take Pictures with.
But... i still love my 920 =)

^^Nice one!

The Picture you posted, the big tree on the left is blurry.
Yeah, and that's the issue (bottom right are too). Every picture I take has that annoyance. I'm wondering if it's a "feature" or if my phone is defective. The current situation is that my Nokia N80 takes better pictures hands down. Now, I find that rather hard to believe and I don't find it acceptable at all considering how old my N80 is and that this is supposed to have better than average camera with Carl Zeiss optics. Or is this The Emperor's New Clothes situation?

I posted the large pictures earlier but here is small 1:1 crop comparison.

These are two shots that I took from my Facebook mobile uploads so the quality is not as good. I hate how Facebook decreases your quality but they still look great imo :)

Too lazy to put them here otherwise :winktongue:

I had the same problem + OIS malfunction, your camera is really broken (one of the lenses is imperfect)... but I have to say, that this problem is really typical for this phone, I got mine replaced, but the issue is still there, not in so huge amount like yours, but it is noticeable...every of my friends who also have this phone are experiencing the same issue, on every device, there is a part of the photo, which is totally blurred and out of focus (right upper corner, left down corner, right edge, left edge...), in my opinion, it is almost impossible (for me) to get the device with the super perfect lens to take clear photos without this smeary parts...
