Placing 950XL on a Laptop

A safe place to place my 950XL I assumed was on top of my HP laptop on my desk. Hard lesson was that strong magnetic field inside laptop that even I can hang my stylus there without sliding off laptop was too much for 950XL interfering with RAM and SD card as well as malfunction of apps...etc.

I am now avoiding even the cell phone cases that have a magnet for their closing buttons.

Any one here encountered similar problems?

To be honest, NO. I haven't heard any other users having this type of problem. I have a Dell and a 950xl and they coexist quite nicely.

It will be interesting to see who responds.

Question, is your HP laptop an older model or newer one?

It's a new hp of 2014 Win10 x64 13" but it has darnest magnetic field inside it.
