Playing tagged MP3s -- Finding your selection

I've been doing this for over a year. I can find my selection eventually, but in general it takes way to long, and sometimes it just doesn't find what I'm looking for. For some reason my 520 doesn't see certain tagged MP3s, in particular if I've just copied the files to the phone's SD card. Sometimes, changing the search category and then back lets the phone find the selection. Other times, this doesn't help. Even a shutdown/restart doesn't get the 520 to find the selection! Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating. Does anyone have some tips to improve this so-called performance? I'm hoping to design an MP3 tagging system along with file organization system in my computer storage to help manage my MP3s, but don't want to tackle that big job without getting a handle on what's going on with my 520.
