Podcast app data usage

My podcast app downloaded some episodes even when wifi only is enabled in it. This is a serious problem as I only have limited data for a month. Has anybody experienced the same?

I just experience same problem, default windows podcast app suddenly used all my data in 2 days.

podcast app is set to only use wifi or unlimited dataplan. And I have set limit in datasense, I don't know how else it would know if I have unlimited dataplan.

I experience this also. It's a shame because I haven't found another podcast app that has dependable automatic downloads and variable speed playback. Does anyone know of a third party app that performs these functions?

i Podcast works for me. Just don't let it run from or download to your SD card though as doing that has a known bug.

Thanks for the suggestions. It appears that Podcast + Pro is on sale for free on the windows phone store at the moment. I'll check both of these out.
