Maybe I'm just a prude, but I really don't like having porn reviews showing up in Windows Central and not having any way to opt out. I get that porn is a major industry and reviewing what's out there is fair game. But I'm wondering if I'm the only one who wants to control what shows up in my WC postings.

I've seen the articles on Android Central about VR but I've never seen them Windows Central.

The only thing I can think of is using a browser extension that blocks out things you may find offensive. You can usually customise the content filters.

Everyone is entitled to their personal views on things.

You could use a software that blocks such stuff. Would be your best bet!

The only porn content I have seen on WC are in the article/review section, and are clearly marked in the article's headline as to its subject matter. I think, if this subject is offensive to you, you should not read the article...I don't (most of the time:), If you're offended that others are reading it, well... that's another issue. If you like porn - and a lot of people do - and WC uses their professional abilities to ferret out the muck and mire of dangerous sites, for any subject, and guide or inform their readers to any reputable sites, I believe is a valued service. That said, obviously kids shouldn't be exposed to lewd content, and I not believe WC would post such content.

I'd rather see a porn article, than a hate article...any day.

I think if that bothers you, a browser extension is the better option.
For the simple reason that whilst you may feel uncomfortable with such articles, others are perfectly fine with it and enjoy reading them.
And since, as point rightly pointed out, porn sells, it'd be a waste of opportunity for mobile nations to not tackle the subject, specially when porn is evermore consumed through mobile devices.

If you're a parent who is concerned about their child reading the article, parental controls on anti-virus software normally allow for a few censorship options in terms of website access so you might also want to check there (since there it's considerably harder to turn off the protection whilst a browser extension can just simply be uninstalled).

Just trying to be funny :D

Although the firewall at work does block the site temporarily when one of those types of articles goes up.
