My Unihertz Titan Pocket arrived! It's a small thicc boi. Standing next to a Galaxy S10 Lite for size comparison.

I knew going in that the keyboard was too small for my hands. Kinda just bought it for fun. Maybe I'll use it for going to a beach or something.

That looks around the size of a Blackberry Bold or Curve. It should be fun if it's like those. Enjoy your new phone.

Was time to add my old cell phone to the drawer of past devices and pick up a new phone. Ended up going with the Pixel 5 as a replacement for my old version 2.

My Stryde bike just arrived yesterday and haven't set it up - but I'll take care of that after work today. Was looking at a Peloton, but they have the ability to lock the monitor into only their service and remove/change functionality of the hardware as they wish (like they are removing the ability to use any heart monitor you want (now has to be theirs) = no more Apple watch functionality).
Stryde has nearly the same hardware, but the monitor is running on Android and the allow you to sideload any apps you want. Don't want to use the Stryde classes because you are bored - go ahead and download the Peloton app (which is only $12/mo instead of the $40 you pay with a their bike). Or you can load any other bike apps or classes you want such as iFit or NordicTrak. You can also load Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies, HBO, etc... Not being locked into that biking company's application only and being able to do whatever I want with my bike's screen was a huge seller! All that and a couple hundred bucks cheaper than Peloton. :)

As a little update on the bike - I found out yesterday that my health insurance company is giving a year subscription of the Peloton app for free. SCORE! That's exactly why I chose this bike - because the monitor is running Android, I can run any app on it for biking - whether it's the Stryde app, Peloton app, Netflix, HBO, music... it all works perfectly. Nice early Christmas present from my health insurance company.

How do these sound? Is the band large enough to be comfortable around a big noggin?

I actually think they sound pretty good for what they are. There are some inherent limitations with the technology, so they struggle with deep bass and can sound a bit hallow. Most of the music I listen to is passable. However, I don't have any problems with podcasts. Everyone comes through clean and easy to understand. And because my ears aren't plugged, it's easier for me to forget that I'm wearing them. They've basically replaced my Galaxy Buds for casual, around the house listening.

Minor purchase but I thought I'd spread the word. I had bought the Galaxy 4 Classic based on the reviews and prior experience with the line. Well, it's not all as advertised from my point of view. The WearOS/Tizen Frankenstein watch is mostly Tizen with a Play Store if you ask me. The battery life is as bad as a WearOS watch with the old SD3100 chip. Yeah, it's fast but it runs out of juice quick. Add the lack of Google Assistant and it makes for a quick return.

Enter this Fossil Gen 6. Yes, it's still on the older WearOS 2.0 but the SD4100+ is a game changer. It is every bit as quick as the Exynos on the Galaxy 4 and the battery life is awesome. IMG_20211002_130827.jpg

Just got back from Home Depot with my latest toy, my very first Air Fryer. It was actually cheaper than at Amazon. Best of all, it works with Alexa ;-) Hope it works as well as the Amazon 4-1 Smart Oven. Getting too lazy in my old age, even too lazy to learn how to push buttons when I don't have to if it works with Alexa.
