Logitech z625 speakers from Best Buy.

The choice was between the z625 or the Edifier R1280DB from Amazon (so better bass versus better sound). But I try to buy local as often as I can which made buying the z625s an easier choice since they were right up the street. I'm not an audiophile (yet) so they sound pretty great to me and work well in the small space.

Bought a house and truck. Stock photo of the truck.. because it's night time and my truck is dirty from driving in the snow and dirt (and I'm lazy). :) But this is it.

What the hell right? Opinion forthcoming.View attachment 140639

Initial impressions.

  • This thing is built like a tank.
  • For a mid-range, it's more than zippy, but then again I don't do games.
  • Has all the proper TMO radios and they're well connected.
  • The best camera I've seen on a sub-$300 phone.
  • Sound is clear but the overall volume could use some work.
  • Typical fidgety Nokia FPS. Works accurately most of the time.
  • Display has a bluish tint to it but not as off-putting as some other phones.
  • Needs a case badly, it's built with a perma-coat of K-Y Jelly.

I'll have to wait to see how battery life is but my experience with SD636 phones has been very positive in the past. This easily puts the Moto Z3 Play in the "for sale" bin - and that's saying something. The Moto is one impressive phone.

This was on my shopping list - checked
Vivoactive3 music

Not actually for me but the missus. She'll rather have this, than change to a new phone.

Oh boy, they went on sale the very next day at Best Buy for $20 cheaper. What a coincidence! Needless to say I marched down to BB and got a price adjustment.
