From the screenshots it looks like some of you are getting your background to not be dimmed/darkened. On my phone all bright light colors are darkened and end up looking dirty. Is there a setting for this somewhere? I have a Lumia 920 if that matters.

Gah! How are you getting the transparent Video and Music tiles?

I've warmed up to polyscreen quite nicely. And transparency tiles for Xbox Video, Music and Games look great too! Would love to see some more social apps have transparency though.

Can i ask you which app you are using for the nice 5 days weather forecast live tile?

That would be the reverse side of the Blue Skies app, front shows an icon and current temperature.

This is Blue Skies. I have it too. It has really beautiful tiles. Took the place of Bing Weather on my screen. it's free until May, so grab it now.

I've got to say, color gradients and stuff look a LOT better than just any "photos" or "wallpaper". This looks absolutely amazing in real life. I love how my tiles seem to change color as I move up and down my start screen.

My calendar isn't syncing my school schedule at the moment... some kinda 8.1 glitch!
