I've had a 1020 on AT&T for a year and no issues installing 8.1 using Preview for Developers. I just bought a Lumia Icon for me and my mother, and updated both simultaneously to 8.1 and hers went without a flaw, but mine restarts after maybe 10% of updating and it seems the whole process restarts.
I have tried to manually power it off, but it just starts up automatically and goes back into the install sequence. I unplugged it and let the power die to let it cool down since it was getting very very very hot. I'm going to let it sit for bit (I also need to drive back to my house) and hopefully it will start up normally or install properly, but in case it doesn't, any ideas? thoughts? suggestions?
