Problems after amber update

So the update came automatically since then daily I have to remove the battery to reset the phone. It is constantly freezing up on me. I have uninstalled everything to the point of doing a complete factory reset of my phone. It still happens. Also now it won't play any of the music I download from Xbox music. I am thinking of throwing it against the wall getting turning it into insurance and see if I get something better. I use it for email, web surfing and YouTube. Any ideas on what I can do? Also it shows I have 8gb free of storage so I don't think it would have anything to do with that.

You need to do a reset in settings-about- reset, that will fix everything (software wise)

I did do that. And still the same thing.
