How secure is Project Spartan?
I heard it is more secure because it is a WinRT app and sandboxed, but is that true? Are WinRT apps safer than desktop programs due to being sandboxed?

Windows programs are secure as well! Without administrative permissions, applications should not be able to modify system resources.
Spartan will have less access to WinAPI, which should make it less prone to security breaches.

However, a nonNative web browser is going to be a PITA for desktop users. Take Xbox Music as an example. On Windows Media Player I can easily copy playlist data and do with it as I please. This is not true for Xbox Music.

Maybe this is the kind of change Microsoft needs to stay relevant. I do not see how enterprise users will adopt this, which is why they should work on bringing the rendering engine to IE11 Desktop!
