Push notifications not working!!!

I have a L920 and notifications are not working fine: sometimes I don't get whatsapp notifications until I open the app; as soon as I leave Skype I appear as offline... Any suggestions? (I did uninstall Lync and Skype (seems to be any issue between those two apps) and didn't install Lync again), switch off, reset...

Uninstalled FB app and my phone lit up like an Xmas tree. Notifications everywhere!

Reinstalled FB app and made sure to not enable push notifications for that app specifically. Everything else is now 100% perfect.

If i disconnect WiFi for 8 hours....i get notifications from a week ago lol it isn't the phone, its Facebook. I tried the fb app on my wife's iphone and didn't get notifications on that either from fb

I uninstalled Facebook+soft reset+airplane mode with WiFi... All at "once". Then reinstalled Facebook but didn't activate FB notifications. Now everything works fine but Skype (not always on anymore...)

Facebook is seemingly a lost cause.... notifications hardly ever work and when they do it is for things I do not care about such as someone adding me as a friend... but recently I have not been receiving any push or toast notifications for anything but email and obviously the stock apps such as messaging and phone. Whatsapp, Groupme, ebuddy, and wechat all seem to be no longer working and I have to open the app to see if I got messages. I don't understand.... microsoft please release gdr2 already and make these problems hopefully go away

Sorry but GDR2 is out for months.
It is GDR3 that is supposed to fix many goofs.. which I personally don't believe.
Simply because Htc users experience so many NEW problems with it.....

So, today, and after 1 notificationless month, I just grew tired of this problem and decided to give back my Lumia 620 and replace it with a Android mobile. This makes me sad, since I love the platform and I think that it has great potential, but issues like this are killing it slowly, besides the lack of information regarding the problem by Microsoft and the developers. Personally, I intend to return to WP8, but not till this kind of things are fixed.

I rarely get notifications on the FB app (which actually IS developed my Microsoft IIRC). Then yesterday, all of a sudden it said "14" on it. Which was weird, because when I opened it, there were only 3 new notifications in it.

MS has their work cut out for them.

well i'm also have this problem too... lumai 820, all notification not working, only insider that remind my battery life.... wechat,whatsapp,line,facebook beta, metweet(twitter) not working, and also my facebook chat in messaging area not working too (always show can't connect to the chat, it's sad because that is what i love from windows phone(chat and message together))

today i get amber update (gdr2) and it seems not fixing anything...

I was hoping that after GDR2/Amber update I will get update notifications for installed apps. From store app I mean. But no. The problem is still there. Ah, and the Send apps to my phone using push notifications (not SMS) option from Find my phone is still missing. (I am thinking that these are linked).
This is very annoying. I got used to have updates notifications and suddenly they stopped.

One week later:
After 4-5 flashings + hard-resettings updates notifications are now working.

They are developing their product based on customers feedback...blahh blahh blahh...thats what the customer support told me..they had more than 6000 complaint tickets for whatsapp....and said whatsapp is working on updates atm...i just hope that this push notification problem be fixed in the next windows update.

I contacted customer support through chat, and she (Cristina D) provided a solution and it nearly solved the problem, the push notification worked for Whatsapp but there is still some delay (about 5 minutes), please follow these steps and I hope it works for youI'm using HTC 8x)
1) UNPIN windows store from start
2) ERASE Internet explorer history
3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings --> keyboard --> add keyboards (and choose a language that require DOWNLOAD)
4) when it finishes downloading it will ask to restart and install
5) after it restarts UNINSTALL whatsapp and REINSTALL IT (you can get conversations back from backup when asked, no problem)

and It worked

Again it may have a bit of delay still bit its notifying me when the phone is locked
