I took many pictures of my sisters baby shower a few weeks ago. They look superb on my PC. But when I printed them out (4x6), the quality was horrible!! It was grainy, and the resolution was awful. Is there a certain way or software needed to print hi resolution pic of the Lumia 1020? Did I do something wrong? I know the 1020 saves a 5mp pic, did I accidentally upload those pics? Help please.

You should be able to find the HiRes pics in the Camera Roll folder.
However, you can only access them from your PC, so hook it up, open the Camera Roll folder, and they should be there.

Also, make sure it's not a printer problem. Try printing a pic on your PC or off the web and see.

Well thing is I printed them at Walgreens. I'm telling ya' they looked crappy!! But I'm going to try and print them again. Thanks.

Hey, even a 5 mp from a 1020 must look perfect on a print from 4 x 6. It's that print machine that causes the trouble.
The didn't change the fluid on time. It's a gamble these days where to get quality pictures. I use to choose for pro prints, and paid alot of money for each print.
But one time, when i was visit the factory, i saw with my own eyes, they went through the same cycle as the normal once.
I mentioned that to a worker, and he said sttttttt, don't say. This was a big factory here in europe, called Elka. Hope this helps.

I've printed 6x 10.5 with full resolution shots and they are impressive. I frame my best shots and use them as art in my house. My friends are blown away when I tell them what I shot them with. Most expected my SLR.
Remember, depending on a situation such as those with low lighting or blue sky with clouds, you will need to reduce noise. I use Imagenomic noise reduction before print. If you process from raw you will definitely have to reduce noise as there was no jpeg noise filter applied.
