Hi Guys, I have a question. I have pushed all my non essential apps to the SD Card. Now if I reset the phone, what happens to the SD Card data!

I assume that if the SD card is still plugged in, i might erase the data, but what if the card is removied, device reset and then put back in, does it recognize the data!

I don't want to lose my whole whatsapp chat history because of format!

When you tap on "reset your phone" you will get a warning and along with that a check-box to ask you whether you want to erase SDCard content or not.!
If u dont your SD Card to be erased then uncheck that box! And reset your phone!
After you reset your phone the contents of SD Card will remain as it was before the reset!

No I understand that. My question is that if I dont erase my SD card, what happens to the installed apps on the Sd card?

I did a reset today. When you choose to install apps on SD card after another reset it will show the following message "Windows has detected apps installed on SD card from another phone, to use the SD card to install apps on it we have to delete it." Choose continue and it'll delete old apps and you can install apps again.

Thanks for the clarification on this, I was confused also.

Um, dumb question but how do you reset the device? I've just been holding the power button and switching off the phone lol
