question downgrading to 8.1

im thinking of downgrading and getting the ATT firmware for my 820. I'm on DP and wondering if i should do it or wait till the download is available in the DP? nothing is wrong with my phone except it won't sync messages. i deleted a months worth by accident and now it wont sync. but other than that nothing is wrong with the phone.

People have posted that the Nokia Software Recovery Tool is now loading Cyan/8.1 directly on AT&T 920s, no more downgrade to Black/8.0 and then update. I would think the 820 would have this, too, if not yet, then very soon. If you want to do a full reset on your phone (which would also probably fix your message sync), then that's the way to go. Otherwise, if you're happy with your phone, sit tight. Cyan isn't supposed to add anything special on the 820.
