The official XBOX Music website says "Associate up to four devices with your Xbox Music Pass." I actually show 5 in my list but on average, I have 6. One of them, my Surface Pro 2, I only do cloud collection streaming.

So, does streaming only not count on your number of allowed devices? How does this REALLY work. Unlimited streaming, 4 devices for DOWNLOADED music? Thanks...

Found this on the Xbox Music page:
[INFO]
  • Xbox Music pass users may download music on up to four devices, including personal computers and portable devices, so long as one is a personal computer.
[/INFO]

I personally have used the web client https://music.xbox.com on about 8 different PC's and they don't count towards my 4, but if I have signed in to xbox music, they normally count.

So if you're doing streaming only, I would recommend doing it on the web. Hope that helps.

Also this on the same page:
[INFO]To add a Windows 8 or Windows RT PC or tablet to your Xbox Music PassDownload an Xbox Music Pass item from the Xbox Music Store to your computer. It will be added automatically.
To add a Windows Phone 8 to your Xbox Music Pass
Download an Xbox Music Pass item to your computer. Sync that item with your Windows Phone 8. Your Windows Phone 8 will be added automatically to your Xbox Music Pass.[/INFO]

I forgot that my ZunePass with 10 songs a month allows for 6 devices, that's why I have 5 right now. Totally forgot about that...

Streaming devices do not count against your cap, downloaded devices (and sometimes Windows Phones even if they are streaming only) count as part of your 4

Also, typically 2 or more devices cannot stream simultaneously, sometimes it bugs out and it lets you, but as intended the answer is no

Question for you, guys can 2 or more devices stream simultaneously?
No; guys nor gals. You can simultaneously play music you've downloaded; but, just streaming is limited to one device.
