I recently started using Office Home & Student 2016. It takes several clicks to open the browse window when I want to find a document. With my previous version it was one click (or I could use Ctrl + O). Is it possible to streamline this in the version I'm now using?

Suggestion only :

Go to Programs & Features > scroll down to Microsoft Office Home & Student 2016 > right click at it > click Change > click Repair.

I learned the answer:

Select File > Options.
General will be selected in the navigation pane on the left.
In the Startup Options section, clear the check box "Show the Start screen when this application starts".

Select Save in the navigation pane.
In the Save Options section, tick the check box "Don't show the Backstage when opening or saving files".
Click OK.
