After having to go through three WP devices (2 822s, Icon), why wouldn't Microsoft just make a program, akin to what iTunes does, and make 1:1 backups of their devices?
That backup option? It only does SOME data, not ALL. (I am hinting at on-device game data getting fully wiped, up to the point where certain in-app purchases need to be re-purchased; Rail Rush's permanent upgrades is a big culprit on that front.)
It just infuriates me. I want to support Microsoft, as I have for a long while now... but with phones without SD slots keep getting released, plus no true backup program exists for Windows Phone devices, I don't know if I am regretting it.
