Remove facebook logo?

How do I remove the facebook logo from my people hub live tile? It's not in my people file and I dont have the app on my icon . Seeing it flipping around all the time is annoying and I'd prefer one of my contacts pics there in its place.

Have you tried unlinking the Facebook account? Or you can filter the Contacts. If I turn off my contacts, the People Hub is black. Perhaps importing that single contact from you SIM will do the job, but it won't have a photo...

Since I never linked it to begin with I'm not sure how to do that. Can it auto link itself. Wouldn't surprise me somehow
No its not in my people file or contact list. It just lives on my ever flipping live tile.

Check the settings. You should see 'add contacts' and this is where you can find a list of accounts it is linked to. Remove Facebook if it's there (if that's your intention).

You can also use 'filter contact list' and remove Facebook contacts, without unlinking the account.

The only accounts in there are hotmail and google. I would need those. I don't see fb anyplace. The only link I have to fb is a bookmark in IE. I'm going to delete that, soft reset and recheck it.
Odd, I have the show only contacts with phone numbers box checked. Seems fb is showing up and has no phone number. It started showing up after i up graded to 8.1
Subliminal advert maybe?

I'm on 8.1 and I can control what the People Hub shows...

azcruz, you can't control this. See the attached screen-shot; I am on 8.1 with all the most recent updates. I only have one account on my phone, my Outlook.com account. When the People hub rotates through its non-existent contact pictures, it randomly throws up the Facebook icon.

cbreze, I don't think you can remove it. I think it's baked in to pimp the Facebook integration which used to exist in the People hub pre-8.1. Maybe for the final release they'll remove it.

The "f" icon is on the tile even if you don't have Facebook connected.

When I said I can control what the People Hub shows, I meant which contacts, or no contacts (just plain black and word "People").

As to the Facebook logo, you folks are correct. I do have to disable (or make it 3 minutes long) the screen time-out to see the [f] thing. But mostly the screen times-out and logo has not come back (1 minute time-out).

Apologies for not paying attention to the main issue.

Thanks for this thread since I've been wondering about the same question for several months. I don't even have a FB account so I hate seeing that logo pop up in my Contacts live tile. I've been adding more photos to my Contacts in hopes that the "f" logo will at least show up less often that way.

If you want it, great. Keep it away from me though and do not automatically assume everyone wets themselves trying to get to it.

So does fb pay ms to be able to imbed their logo in our flipping people hub? I don't use fb and resent being forced to see their flipping logo on my start screen. I have to shrink the tile if i want to get rid of it.

Yep... I've shrunk my People tile to the smallest size for just that reason.
