Replace Xbox Music

Hello,

I don't know why people in charge decided to destroy the Zune app, when it was the best music player app from any platform. It is the reason I got a windows phone, rather than an android or an iphone. What are phones for? They are used as cameras, as note taking, to call, text, and to listen to music. Music player is a very big selling point, and a mediocre music player only does harm to the windows phone.
The developers for the xbox music tried their best, I presume, but in the end the best thing to do it get rid of the app or change it completely, rather than call it the official music player.

But how do we revive the amazing music player? Let a new developer be in charge of it. Before I say any more, I am not paid to advertise, but I am simply saying this because of how amazing the developer is. The developer of Zbox has nearly revived the Zune music player. All he would need is some backing from microsoft, and some help to make it official. Try the app yourself, it is as fast as the Zune HD, as beautiful, and as identical (Of course, it needs more time because the app is in its beginning stage to finally be considered official...but even at this point it functions better than the xbox music player)

Try it yourselves, you'll agree without a doubt.

Can we do this, microsoft? Can you please give this developer the rights to your music player, pay him, and let his app replace the official one after tweaking it to include your music store or whatever?

Thoughts?

Windows Central is a fan site. There is no official affiliation with Microsoft. You'll need to post on User Voice for Microsoft to see what you've said.

I used WP 7 until early last year because I liked the Zune player so much more.

But revive it? Unfortunatly, that ship has sailed into the sunset. The Music player (I hear the "XBOX" name will be officially dropped and it will be refered to as Microsoft Music soon) is going to be intergrated heavily into MS services. Throw how much time MS has legit spent to get the service to work well, and going backwards (their opinion, not mine) ain't an option.

I would be interested in seeing this "Zbox" app, though, once it is ready for prime time.
