I tried to turn off the vibration of my capacitive buttons and it required me to reset the phone. After resetting, i made some message conversation , then noticed that the date and time was wrong, so i corrected the date but it caused my next messages to be buried in the middle of the thread, i got so frustrated because i might miss some important messages, restarting, soft resetting and changing the dates several tines to correct ones didn't work. So the last thing to do is to delete all the messages mistakenly dated in advance after the phone reset and before the proper time was made again. This is so annoying. I wish wp8.1 maintains your time and date after reset or notify you to change the date.

Time and date signal is supposed to be provided by your carrier. If it doesn't have the signal then your date will go wacky after a reset. (also it takes a minute or two to for the signal to get sorted) I have the same issue by the way as my carrier doesn't seem to support WP8 devices.

Since the reset is a 'system' reset, it will reset everything. That's what you need to keep in in mind. I'm not entirely sure that this can be 'fixed' in WP8.1.
