The Skype app for the XBox one has not been able to even open on the Xbox in more than a week, I contacted XBox support about this and was informed that they did not support Skype for XBox. I then contacted Skype support, who was not aware that there has ever been Skype on the XBox and said they did not support this.
Based upon these conversations and the lack of a functioning Skype app for the XBox One, it apperars that another Kinnect feature is being dropped for the XBox.
I have tried everything on my end to troubleshoot this, the app has been uninstalled and re-installed; the XBox One has been formateed (twice), and I have tried un-linking my skype account online and then re-linking through the app, but it still just crashes.
RIP Skype for XBox One.
P.S.
It is worth mentioning that it has taken more than 45 minutes to even post this due to the poor performance of Microsoft Edge, in order to even type this I had to type it up in Notepad and then paste it to the browser due to the fact that Edge keep re-loading pages every 30 seconds.
