Rollback to 8.1 was easier than expected

I think the rollback to 8.1 on my 1520 took about as much time as I spent rebooting the phone and dealing with crashes. I'm sure the Insider program has gotten all the feedback on this build and moved on so I'm going to wait for the next release.

That's good to hear. I'm tempted to go back every time I try and make a phone call - some of the crashes I get around the business of making calls are the worst I ever experience with WP10, and it can take several minutes to get the phone working again after the most severe ones. So far I've been hanging on in case the revert process is more trouble than it's worth, and on the basis that an update might come in any day now that fixes the basics, but it's nice to know that it won't be too painful.

The biggest inconvenience is having to wait for the apps to download again and and set them and the accounts back up. It sure does feel like a nice upgrade. :) Makes you appreciate WP 8.1.

I'm sure the future build will be better.

I cant roll back to 8.1 I've tried on a pc and a laptop.I've installed the recovery tool on both. And it detects my phone but after

trying to install it does nothing

Had to revert to 8.1 because I've got friends coming into the city for a very significant birthday on Tuesday, and I can't risk phone crashes or call problems. Figured I should give myself a day spare between reinstalling the old OS and Tuesday, in case I needed time to fix any issues.

Reverting with the Microsoft tool worked perfectly. I miss WP10 immediately, even though it was only a temporary stepping stone to the much better-looking version seen in the MS blog. This all feels really toy-like and wrong.

[Morning edit] Praying for a WP10 TP update soon, tbh

[edit2] Oh, and... as I've been telling people with L920s, your battery always did drain quickly. WP10 is no worse for this!
