hi, just recently got a 635 and ive noticed that if the screen is set to minimum brightness, or one notch up that it flickers. its very noticeable on min brightness.

has anyone else noticed this? im wondering if its my handset that buggered or its a device wide issue as at min brightness to screen is really rather dim.

I see a very slight flickering. The flicker amount is similar to squinting versus barely not squinting. If you're seeing a more noticeable flicker then you should consider returning the device or calling Nokia to see what they can do.

I bought this as a trash-able phone so the flicker amount isn't worth the time to replace it until the whole device stops functioning.

It does flicker. I just checked. Lets wait for more answer to tell this is normal.

Talking about flicker. Audio also flickers on lowest settings. I like to turn on music while sleeping over night and on lowest or close to lowest settings audio is flickering on back speaker.

so not just mine then.

makes me wonder if i should return it. tbh i think i would have if id bought it online but i stupidly bought in a shop. so much hassle.

I have noticed this too...thought I was just mine. It worries me a little, and I have adjusted the lesser brightness till I don't notice it anymore... But that kinda gets rid of the whole "low brightness" thing. Anybody knows why it does that?

Same here but opposite. I have mine on max brightness and it randomly dims for a few seconds then back to max brightness again. This only occurred after Cyan for me.

After Cyan? The 635 shipped with Cyan.

Also not noticing any dimming or flicker on my 635.

Think its better you bought it in a shop as you can exchange it then try it out there and then in the shop on the exchange rather then waiting a few days again online ;-)
