Screen shattered any guides on replacing

If it just shattered the screen then heat gun the rest off and use some sort or epoxy and press a new glass screen on. It just takes some practice I guess.

Shattered my 1520 this weekend. I'm just going to put it on eBay and get something out of it. Don't feel like messing around with those $30 digitizers. Seems too good to be true.

Forget it, it's a major undertaking to replace only the screen from the digitizer. I've had smartphones with glass fronts since 2008 and my 1520 is the first screen I've ever broken, and now I've done it TWICE! Many have been dropped and survived just fine, including my old 920 which was a tank. I think it's the fact that the screen is so large its easier to drop in the hands and also easier to break due to larger glass square area? Ive broken my 1520 screen twice now and will probably downgrade to the Icon/930 because of this...Palco repair is your best bet, they will even repair the back camera glass if you broke that for an extra $20 if I remember correctly.

Oh and don't waste your money on insurance from ATT, they charge $8 a month but read the fine print and the deductible is $199 for this phone...guess what it costs to replace at Palco, $199, so in essence you are paying $8 a month to ATT for NOTHING! Such a rip-off.

Yes, the AT&T insurance plans are terrible. They have a new multi device family plan that runs $40/month but it still costs $199 to use.

The Nokia of Old would have figured out a screen that doesn't shatter on one fall. Its really sad now that they just follow suit. Only Sony Ericsson seem to have a shatterproof screen.
