Screen shot not working. What am I missing?

Lumia 822 w/Black. I have been trying to take a screen shot by using the power button and start screen. Works fine on my phone, but my wife's will not work. When I try on hers it either starts to power down or the voice recorder comes on. I tried turning it off and back on, but still the same. I haven't tried any soft resets yet. Any ideas? Am I missing some setting in camera or something?

Lumia 822 w/black -- both phones are identical with the exception hers does not have an SD card.

strange , you should consider doing a soft reset by pressing volume down button + lock button at the same until your phone vibrates and reboot itself (ignore the slide to power down screen ).

Also check to make sure she actually does have enough space on her device to save a screenshot.

Thanks, the soft reset did it. As to space, she has plenty! She uses the phone for calls and texts. Nothing else. Ha! Every now and then a picture, but not often.
