Screen won't rotate after unlock

I got a Vivotab RT recently and have been very happy with it. The only quirk I've found is that while the screen will rotate when showing the lock screen once it is unlocked it flips back to the default orientation and won't rotate again. This is a problem because the case I got for it has a cover that props it up and one of the orientations props it upside down. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this?

I don't have this issue with mine.

But, what I have to do is hold the tab in horizontal orientation with the tab exactly perpendicular with the floor and give it a second or two.
