In my experience, I would say battery drains 50% faster than WP8.1 while using it. Standby time is OK.
When I'm using any app, I can see the battery percentage going down mostly 2% at a time. For exemple, it doesn't go from 90% to 89% and then 88%. It goes directly from 90% to 88%. I don't know if it's caused by software or hardware, but if feels like we need to sacrifice battery in order to get W10m features.

Well, I am quite happy with my 930 battery life, but two-three days - really guys?

As I leave my home in the morning (0700) with 90-100%, with average usage (all sync on) before night (2200) I have around 40%, not less. With hard daily usage maybe less, but two days looks too much for me, not talking about 3... Maybe with battery saver on then I not using phone it would be possible... Maybe you are using phone just like a phone? Not like smartphone with all of its advantages?

This thread still alive? I have a 930 and after all normal updates (not insider) its still very hot and some days its 10 % per hour and some days little better. Have tried to have everything disabled in background, but it doesn't help. Did not try with mobile data disabled. Any news on this?

How long it was since you had hard reset? That helps sometimes.

Its some time since hard reset, not in 3 months, only soft reset. Maybe should try it.

Well, I believe (in my experience) that it is needed to make Hard reset if you had more than 2-3 updates. My phone gets really messy after lot of updates without hard reset and then it fixes it.

i just bought a used Lumia 930 and with latest firmware and after trying out Windows 10 official, Redstone build and Windows phone 8.1 i can conclude that battery degradation while using the phone (for example browsing the Internet) is 2 to 3 times higher on Windows 10, even with build 385 which supposedly has improved battery life. Also while streaming music with locked screen, on windows 10 battery drops at a rate of almost 1 % a minute. On stand by it s ok.

Latest build, Insider one showed 23hours, i dont use phone so much anymore. It can last thru day, but if i would use it the way it was ment to be, i would charge it two times a day

it is getting worse - I do not use my phone too much now as I am on vacation and battery app shows max runtime of 1d 13h since upgrade.

14393.5 in preview ring really did the magic trick! As usually after all day usage (starting 90-100% @7am) I would end up with ~40% around 6-8pm. Now I have 60% around 10pm with same usage. Impresive! One of the update log:

We fixed an issue causing battery to drain due to runaway CPU processes while a device is idle. We also fixed a battery life issue due to the proximity sensor always running on some devices.

14939.5 is working really really well on my 930. No more heating issues, snappy and battery life is a LOT better than with the previous TH2 release. Extremely happy now with the phone.

estimated usage shows on 23hrs on full battery everytime. I am on 14393.5

I also experienced a dwindling down of battery life on Windows 10 mobile, maybe it's just isn't optimized for 10.

Well, it depends how you use you phone also. I keep it clean, only with necessary apps with unneeded background apps disabled.

But sometimes ... Like when u update it to the latest update and after that for abt a day the battery life is awesome ... 1% per 15mins on continuous usage

I get a day long of battery life on my L930 with Windows 10 (Insider Fast) -- unless I use the phone, then I get around 1 hour.
