This is my awesome start screen on Windows 10 TP. I really like the new OS. I'm using my daily driver lumia 1020 and its performing awesome. There are a few kinks still but I'm really happy so far and I plan on keeping this new build for my daily use,the speed overall is a tad slower but pictures and even hd look crisper.

So finally put my lumia 830 on the latest build. This is my first quick attempt at making it look nice. I found the little monster pictures under the #tileart app gallery, seems they added some new ones. The photos picture is superman.

That's awesome. How did you get 2 wide tiles together though? Surely the 930 can handle this?

Windows 10 for mobile with larger than 5.5 inch screens can handle this two wide tiles together I dont think 930 can handle this

Here's my new layout on my 930. after 2 years + I was getting a little tired of the tiles. The transparency effect on win10 did not actually allowed me to find a good compromise between tiles, background and legibility. I then decided to try something new. Device shot does not work with the latest version of win10 so just the snapshot this time.

I've been trying something different with resampling my screens. I'm not sure if I like the dotted line fake tiles, but I might try the same thing with circular tiles and/or square tiles of different colours/opacities.




In case you're wondering what I'm up to here:

Added background as shown
Added blank tiles using TileGap app to top area of screen, then set tile transparency to full (invisible)
Arranged real tiles as I wanted them
Replaced wallpaper with solid black graphic, took a screenshot
Opened Photoshop with original picture wallpaper on lowest layer, black screenshot above
Inverted black screenshot so that it's white with black tile icons
Blurred that layer, set Blending Options to Multiply, thus making all the white transparent
Exported the whole image as a new wallpaper with "shadows" of the icons, loaded that into the phone
Now the white icons are visible against the almost white background, thanks to the shadow
