Sharing photos

I'm trying to come up with a simple workflow for quickly sharing selected photos via email in Windows 8. I like to use the "Share, Email" option in Explorer because it lets me reduce the size before emailing, but it seems that you can only use that option with a desktop email program such as Outlook and not the Windows Mail app. Is that correct?

Is there a way to use a combination of Windows Mail App and Photo Viewer to send reduced-size photos? If not, is there an alternative?
