Should I come back?

Hi, I switched to Android about a year and a half ago BC of the lack of apps / updating and maintenance of the apps that they did have. Anyway, I miss my Windows phone and have the opportunity to trade my S7 for a 950 XL. My concern is that the app situation and support from Microsoft might have even gotten worse. If anyone could share their thoughts on whether "windows mobile" has gotten better or worse I would appreciate it.
