Should I get a Surface Pro2 or wait for next?

Should I wait on the next if it's close to being announced or just get the Surface Pro 2. Also what discounts are there,I just graduated highschool 2 days ago, so is there a student discount?

There is a 10% discount from Microsoft for students. You will need a .edu email from your enrolled college. I would wait to see what is announced May 20th. It has been said there might be a new Intel based surface announced along side the surface mini. But the surface pro is a fantastic choice for school! My brother uses it for taking notes. The surface Pen is awesome.

If that Microsoft Store deal is still on for the SP2 (10% + $100 so a $1300 SP2 with 8 GB and 256 GB storage is only $1069!! Then add the $129 keyboard and it's $1200 for an awesome machine that will last for a few years). With 10% off, the more expensive the machine, the more you're saving.

Wait 2 days, worst case what will happen is the SP2 will be cheaper. I would also wait for a deal anyway, its not like you absolutely need it tomorrow for classes. I see the 128 GB SP2 going on sale pretty often. 10% off of something isn't a huge deal to go nuts about either.

Surface Pro 2 if it's a really good deal or hold out when they announce them with Broadwell chips.

ETA: Unless it matters to you and assuming it is a press release of the "Devil's Canyon" chips
