Sleep vs shut down

Just got my GB 12 today. Everything is great so far. Just wondering if people are using sleep vs shut down between uses. I was using a Mac book prior to this and that thing lasted forever​while sleeping. Haven't used windows in awhile just want to get so.e opinions

I usually sleep my Windows laptop with the occasional restart. (weekly give or take a week)

If I know I'm not going to be back with it for a day or so I shutdown. Startup time is fast in either case.
