The second they put out a demo of a WP app that can send/receive texts/phone calls, do heart rate monitoring, and run twitter I'll have an order in. I think it is reasonably priced and we should expect that level of basic functionality.

Here is another email that Kreyos sent last night

Hi Everyone,

We've finally met up and finalized some details with our logistics partners. And, yes, the good news is that we can ship out the first 5000 units to our US warehouses! We'll then be distributing these initial units from there.

More good news: our FCC certification is finally approved. It'll take around seven business days for it to be searchable on the FCC online database, though. Despite that, this means we've already gotten the green light to ship out the 5000 units since we have the approval needed.

The container vessel we're using is already booked for the 2nd of June. Our partners advised us to use LCL, or Less Than Container Load. This means we'll be sharing the container with someone else as we can't fill a whole container as of the moment.

We're also still pushing our supplier to get the speakers to us earlier so we can churn out more on our assembly lines.

We've got more updates coming in on the next few days so stay tuned, guys.

Best Regards,

The Kreyos Team

So far it is getting better! We shall see with the next update and u wonder who will be the first 5000 backers to receive their watch.

I've backed this project because they were the first one to say that WP was compatible with the watch. Now they still haven't shown one video with the watch and WP! I really hope that it will work!!!!

Hi! Well just received another email from Kreyos today!

Hi Everyone,

A majority of our backers were wondering if they're part of the initial 5000 orders to be sent out this coming June. That said, we've compiled a list of those people who fit in this category. These are individuals who have backed the project from early June 2013 to mid-July 2013. If you want to know if you're part of the list, you can check out and see if your name is written there.

To view the list, click here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14vjXGdwCpomWRqJYpC1aZf3O2eThOZosdzWzRcu7D7w/pubhtml

As for the delivery estimates, the vessel we've booked for will take 3 to 4 weeks to reach our US warehouses. Once that happens, it'll only take a few days for our logistics team to send out all the orders. We'll be posting more concrete estimates once our container has reached the US.

Also, there were some inquiries on our CE certification. Similar to our FCC approval, we're happy to announce that we also have certification on CE. So we have these two already covered.

To wrap up, if you have any questions regarding this list, just send in an email to our support team at support@kreyos.com. More updates coming soon guys, so stay tuned.

Best Regards,

The Kreyos Team

I'm part of that list yeah!!!!!!

Heh - 3 to 4 weeks to reach the US? I would have thought they'd be bending over backwards to get at least this first handful of watches in the hands of their longest-waiting customers ASAP, but I guess not. I wonder if the wave of refund requests have been digging in a little too deep recently.

I'm really curious to see how this goes, especially with WP support. If it ends up being awesome, I'll certainly re-order, but I'm still not regretting my own refund at this point.

3-4 weeks is pretty normal for a container ship to reach the US from China. Now, could they have DHL'd/UPS'd to have it here by the end of the week? Of course, but it is more expensive. After the next production run bake in an additional 4 weeks of logistics... Question is does that clock begin before or after these 5000 reach the US. We'll see... Like you say at this point I'm more curious to see the actual support for WP.

Yep, it will be cheaper to ship them via sea, but I hoped they'd air freight them, get them out there and create buzz. Maybe air freighting batteries is an issue.
For the moment "never ever first gen ever" is probably my stance.

This morning I've asked two thing to Kreyos:

- Will there be an email sent to all 5000 backers to make sure?
- If they are creating a video with WP right now to show that it does work.

Because I'm happy that I'm on the list but I really want a video being published with WP since that's what I'm using.

They have 'sent' them by sea so they get another month to get them to work. In reality they have shipped nothing... this is just another delaying tactic. You can ship anything by air and the cost is based on weight, these are considered light. Ships are used to move cars, planes, furniture, lead blocks.

Smartwatches fly... unless you are need more time to finish the product

That's really a good point you have there...Now the only thing left if to......wait again.

They made a comment on today's Facebook post that confirmed the first 500 had been shipped that's interesting:

Is the windows compatibility confirmed yet?

Kreyos: The Next Generation Smartwatch It is confirmed. We are polishing up the app now and it will be ready before you receive it or shortly after. We'll make sure to post videos and photos very soon! (Next update)

I guess I missed that comment!

Good to know and can't wait to see it in action!!!

Update : I went back to the comments section and the message : Kreyos: The Next Generation Smartwatch It is confirmed. We are polishing up the app now and it will be ready before you receive it or shortly after. We'll make sure to post videos and photos very soon! (Next update) (2hours ago)

Was posted way before the comment/question : Is the windows compatibility confirmed yet? (59 min ago)

So I don't think that their response was referring to the question if it was Windows compatibility...

Is that "shipped" as in "on a ship for the US, arriving in 3-4 weeks", or shipped as in "with a courier for delivery to end users"?
The two are very different...
I'll continue waiting.

I don't entirely disagree that this may be a delay tactic to buy them another few weeks... That said global logistics are such that damned near everything is shipped on a ship, it isn't only heavy obtuse things or raw materials, their lie or possible lie is at least plausible.

Here is today's email from Kreyos:

Hi Everyone,

Time for this week's update! On the last update we reported to you guys that the initial batch of 5,000 Meteor Units are already underway to our Distribution Facilities in the United States. Currently, this vessel is en route to our US warehouses and is expected to arrive there sometime between the 30th of June or the 1st of July. Once our distribution facilities receive the inventory, we will waste no time and immediately start fulfilling the orders we have allocated the 5,000 units to. Please note that this batch is going to be composed exclusively of Indiegogo backers.

We published a list of people who are going to be part of the first batch here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14vjXGdwCpomWRqJYpC1aZf3O2eThOZosdzWzRcu7D7w/pubhtml

We're also expecting to have our suppliers deliver the remaining speaker components this week. Once these components are delivered to us, Our manufacturing partners are able to fire up their lines to churn out the rest of the Meteors. It's only going to take 7-10 days to complete the production and we're aiming to have the final batch on a vessel to our US warehouses hopefully by the end of June. We would then start fulfilling the rest of the pre-orders and be able to readily fulfill orders through our Web store.

Another piece of great news we'd like to share is that our FCC certification is now reflected in the FCC database. You can find more details about our FCC certification here here: https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/repo...me=N&application_id=690766&fcc_id=2ABLC-KM000

Lastly, a lot of you have been asking about the WP8 compatibility and the progress we've made on the app. We're applying some final touches to the Windows Phone app (and crushing some tiny bugs) but we'd like to take this opportunity to show some screenshots of the Kreyos app on a Windows Phone. We're using a Nokia Lumia on this one. In the photos below, you'll see some of the UI of the login as well as the progress and activity screens.

Couldn't post the pic. Check their Facebook

That's all for now! We've got more updates next week, so stay tuned! And, as always, if you've got any questions be sure to hit us up with an email at support@kreyos.com.

Best Regards,

The Kreyos Team

Hi sorry if I didn't post much on Kreyos but again we barely get updates. They always reply with the same old info.....stay tuned....blablabla...

Now this week we finally got an email with in my opinion again no real answers what so ever... maybe it is because I don't trust them anymore...anyway here it is:

Hi Everyone,
A very quick update this week: We’re happy to inform you that the Meteor watches are with our logistics partner in Singapore. We’re already at the point of finalizing some last-minute shipping details and we expect to start shipping your orders by next week at the latest.
We’d also like to share with you some pictures of what’s been going on over at our logistics team. Check out the photos below!

Also, don’t forget to keep an eye on your inbox as we would start sending in emails containing your order’s tracking numbers once we start shipping. Now if your order consists of ten or more units, do note that you might have to receive more than one email from us.
If you want to update your email address, you can send in a request to our support team by sending in an email with a subject line of “UPDATE MY EMAIL” at support@kreyos.com. In your email, please include the email address you want us to send your tracking number to, your full name, as well as your order ID.
It’s been a long and exciting journey for all of us–and we’re even more excited to finally deliver your Kreyos Meteor smartwatch! If you have any questions, you can pm us, reply to this thread, or send in an email to support@kreyos.com.
Thanks for all the support, guys. Keep an eye on your inbox!
Best Regards,
The Kreyos Team
